Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission Engages with Swedish Entities

A delegation from the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission held fruitful discussions with various stakeholders in Sweden yesterday. The meetings featured representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the International Democracy and Electoral Assistance Organization (IDEA), and the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).

During the discussions, the Commissioners provided insights into the Commission’s three-year efforts and clarified its commitment to conducting a dialogue process grounded in inclusivity, transparency, and neutrality. They also shared upcoming activities planned by the Commission.

The representatives from the attending organizations expressed their enthusiasm for Ethiopia’s progress through the national dialogue process. They conveyed their willingness to support these efforts and wished for the success of the dialogue initiative.

In line with its ongoing engagement with the diaspora, the Commission will host an agenda collection forum for Ethiopians residing in Sweden and nearby areas on Saturday, October 4, 2025, in Stockholm.
