ENDC Hands Over Recommendations

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission handed over the recommendations of the National Dialogue Conference to the House of Peoples’ Representatives today on the October 3rd, 2026 of September, 2026.
 
The document submitted to the Speaker of the House, Hon. Tagesse Chafo, contains 400 recommendations addressing 81 fundamental issues discussed during the National Dialogue Conference.
 
The Commission also handed over agenda items identified through consultations conducted in regional states, city administrations and federal institutions to the respective governments and institutions for further deliberation and action.
 
Speaking at the ceremony, Chief Commissioner Prof. Mesfin Araya said the recommendations and agenda items represent key outcomes of the national dialogue process and thanked those who contributed to the process.
 
Speaker of the House of Peoples’ Representatives, Hon. Tagesse Chafo, called on regional states and city administrations to follow up on the agenda items handed over to them and take the necessary actions. He also said the House will follow up on the implementation of the recommendations submitted by the Commission.
 
The event was attended by the Prime Minister, regional state presidents, members of the House of Peoples’ Representatives, and other senior government officials.
