ENDC Engages Academia and Research Institutions in Agenda Validation Process

Addis Ababa, Ethiopia — The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) has conducted an agenda validation workshop with representatives from academia and research institutions as part of its ongoing efforts to ensure that the national dialogue process is inclusive, credible, and reflective of the views of diverse stakeholders.

The workshop is part of a series of consultations the Commission has been organizing to review and validate agenda items collected from across the country. Bringing together scholars, researchers, and experts, the discussion provided a platform for participants to examine the draft agenda items and offer their professional insights and recommendations.

This marks the third validation workshop held by the Commission, following similar engagements with other stakeholder groups. Participants were encouraged to assess the relevance, clarity, and comprehensiveness of the agenda items and contribute suggestions that could strengthen the dialogue process.

The Commission emphasized that stakeholder participation remains essential to building a nationally owned dialogue process. Inputs gathered through these validation workshops help ensure that the issues identified for discussion accurately reflect the concerns, aspirations, and priorities of Ethiopians.

The Commission noted that similar engagements will continue with additional stakeholder groups in the coming weeks. The primary objective of these engagements is to gather constructive feedback and enrich the agenda items before they are finalized for the next stages of the national dialogue process.
