ENDC Launches Awareness Campaign Through Community Radios and TVs
June 10, 2026
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) has taken a significant step to strengthen public engagement by partnering with community media outlets across the country.
On June 9, 2026, the Commission organized a workshop that brought together 45 representatives from various community radio and television stations. The initiative aims to empower these vital local voices to play a more active role in the national dialogue process.
In his opening remarks, Commissioner Dr. Yonas Adaye expressed sincere appreciation for the dedicated work community media houses have already undertaken. He emphasized the unique position these outlets hold in building public awareness and fostering trust in the national dialogue.
“Community media are close to the people,” Commissioner Dr. Yonas noted. “They have the power to create genuine understanding and confidence in this important national process.”
The media representatives responded with strong enthusiasm, reaffirming their full commitment to supporting the national dialogue. They received multimedia materials during the workshop, which they will translate and adapt into local languages for broader dissemination through their respective stations.
The day-long workshop also featured informative presentations covering the Commission’s major activities, best practices in content development for community audiences, and practical ways local media can contribute meaningfully to the dialogue process.
This partnership marks an important milestone in making the national dialogue more inclusive, accessible, and rooted in the everyday lives of Ethiopians.
