The Role of Stakeholders Commended in Advancing the Work of the Commission

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) held a consultative meeting with the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Council (ECSOC) on June 19, 2025, to review past achievements and explore future areas of collaboration.

The session opened with remarks from Commissioner Melaku Woldemariam, who acknowledged ECSOC’s vital role in supporting the Commission’s efforts. He specifically commended ECSOC for its proactive engagement and for formalizing its commitment through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Commission.
Commissioner Melaku highlighted ECSOC’s contributions, particularly its role in mobilizing a wide range of civil society organizations to actively participate in and support the national dialogue process.

During the meeting, both parties presented their upcoming activity plans, engaged in in-depth discussions, and reached a consensus on potential areas of collaboration moving forward.

The Commission reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with ECSOC and other stakeholders to ensure the inclusivity and success of the national dialogue initiative.
