The Commission Strengthens Partnership with Media Houses

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission (ENDC) hosted a special program today aimed at strengthening its partnership with media houses across the country and recognizing their contribution to the national dialogue process.
In his opening remarks, Chief Commissioner Professor Mesfin Araya acknowledged the pivotal role that media organizations and communication agencies have played in making the dialogue process accessible to the wider public. He urged them to continue their commitment and professionalism in the upcoming National Dialogue Conference to ensure the broad participation of all stakeholders.
During the event, the Commission presented a comprehensive report outlining its collaboration with media houses over the past year. According to the report, media institutions have significantly contributed to the Commission’s outreach activities and played a vital role in promoting the national dialogue process.
Discussions during the program focused on strengthening future collaboration with both traditional and digital media, as well as public communication agencies.
As a gesture of appreciation, the Commission awarded certificates of recognition to 180 media organizations. These included community radio stations, public and commercial broadcasters, regional and government communication offices, digital platforms, religious media outlets, and international media partners.
The event brought together more than 300 stakeholders committed to supporting the Commission’s efforts in fostering inclusive dialogue and national unity.
