The Commission Receives Agenda Items from Ethiopians in the UAE
September 22, 2025
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has conducted an agenda collection forum in Dubai with Ethiopians living in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
During the forum, participants raised questions seeking clarity on the overall process of agenda collection and the wider national dialogue. Representatives from a diverse range of groups—including religious leaders, women’s associations, development organizations, community groups, professional associations, intellectuals, international students, business communities, and unions—actively engaged in the discussions.
These groups officially organized and presented their agenda items to the Commission. In addition, they selected representatives who will participate in the upcoming National Dialogue Conference on behalf of their respective communities.
In his closing remarks, the Chief Commissioner, Professor Mesfin Araya, expressed appreciation for the warm reception extended by Ethiopians in the UAE and commended their active involvement in the agenda collection process.
As part of the Commission’s established procedures, the agenda items collected in Dubai will be consolidated with those gathered from other regions and platforms. Together, they will serve as key inputs for the upcoming National Dialogue Conference.
