The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission held a consultative progress update meeting with international organizations coordinated through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). The meeting was convened with two key objectives: to present updates on the ongoing national dialogue process and to formally recognize the partners supporting the initiative.
During the briefing session, the Commission provided a comprehensive update on recent activities, progress achieved across regions, and the next steps in implementing a broad-based and inclusive dialogue. The Chief Commissioner highlighted the importance of sustained collaboration and acknowledged the critical contributions of international partners in strengthening the process.
As part of the recognition segment, the Commission extended its appreciation to UNDP for serving as the coordinating platform for partner engagement and for its continuous technical and administrative support. The Commission also expressed gratitude to the wider international community for their assistance to date.
International partners welcomed the update, commended the Commission’s efforts, and reaffirmed their commitment to continue supporting the national dialogue as it advances into subsequent phases.
The Commission reiterated that such collaboration remains vital to ensuring a credible, participatory, and transparent national dialogue that reflects the voices and aspirations of all Ethiopians.
