Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice Submits Agenda to National Dialogue Commission
Addis Ababa, December 5, 2025 – The Ethiopian Citizens for Social Justice (Ezema) party has officially submitted its proposed agenda items to the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission.
The documents were handed over by Ezema Chairperson Professor Berhanu Nega and members of the party’s executive committee during a ceremony at the Commission’s headquarters.
Chief Commissioner Professor Mesfin Araya received the submission and commended Ezema for its consistent support since the national dialogue process began. He described the party as “a strong ally” of the Commission and praised the detailed, well-documented nature of the submitted agenda.
“These agenda items will serve as important inputs for the upcoming national dialogue conference,” Professor Mesfin assured the delegation.
He further emphasized that the active participation and cooperation of political parties remain crucial for the success of the inclusive national dialogue.
Professor Berhanu Nega, in his remarks, reaffirmed Ezema’s full commitment to the process, describing the national dialogue as “a key instrument for resolving the country’s deep-rooted challenges.”
He explained that the party’s proposed agenda was prepared on the assumption that the dialogue would address fundamental national and political issues. He also noted that Ezema has actively participated in the Commission’s consultations across Ethiopia’s 11 regional states and two city administrations.
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission continues to collect agenda items from political parties, civic organizations, and other stakeholders as it prepares for the next phase of the nationwide dialogue conference.
