ENDC Receives Agenda Items from Coalition for Women’s Voice

Addis Ababa, January 21, 2026

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has received a set of agenda items submitted by the Coalition for Women’s Voice.

Representing the Commission, Chief Commissioner Professor Mesfin Araya commended the coalition for its diligent work in compiling and presenting the proposals in a structured and comprehensive manner.

In his remarks, the Chief Commissioner highlighted key achievements of the Commission to date and encouraged the coalition to sustain its valuable efforts in ensuring that women play an active and meaningful role in the national dialogue process.

Notably, while the coalition’s previous submission had excluded the Central Ethiopia, Gambella, and Amhara regions, the current set of agenda items now incorporates these areas.

The submission includes 13 agenda items and 4 specific recommendations, all aimed at strengthening women’s participation and representation throughout the national dialogue processes.

The Commission has confirmed that these inputs will be carefully considered and integrated into the preparations for the upcoming National Dialogue Conference.
