Commission Delegation Engages with Ethiopian Community Structures in Stockholm
October 1, 2025 – Stockholm
A delegation of the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission currently visiting the Nordic countries has held preliminary discussions with Ethiopian community structures and religious leaders in Stockholm. The visit is part of the Commission’s ongoing effort to collect agenda items from Ethiopians in the diaspora.
During the discussions, the delegation presented the Commission’s accomplishments to date and outlined upcoming activities. The Commissioners explained that the agenda collection session for Ethiopians in Sweden and neighboring countries will take place in Stockholm on October 4, 2025, at Stockholmsmässan AB, SE-125 80 Stockholm. The session will also facilitate the election of representatives who will participate in the National Dialogue Conference in Ethiopia.
Participants raised questions regarding the upcoming forum, to which the Commissioners provided clarifications. The Commission emphasized the importance of submitting fundamental national issues as inputs for the dialogue process and called for close collaboration to ensure the success of the initiative.
Community structures were also encouraged to actively mobilize and campaign for broad diaspora participation in the dialogue, underscoring that inclusivity is central to the Commission’s mandate.
