September 10, 2025
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has submitted agenda items collected from the Ethiopian diaspora in the United States to its Council of Commissioners.
During the forum held on August 30, 2025, in Washington, D.C., Ethiopian diaspora participants presented their views and priorities for the national dialogue process. Following this, the Chief Commissioner, Professor Mesfin Araya, formally submitted 20 documents containing the collected agenda items to the Council.
The submissions represent contributions from ten groups, including four institutional categories and six groups of individuals. These include athletes, intellectuals, media personalities, religious institutions, commercial institutions, women, eminent personalities, and civic associations.
A total of 117 agenda items were compiled into 20 booklets, prepared in both Amharic and English.
In line with established procedures, these agenda items will be consolidated with those gathered from other regions and platforms, serving as key inputs for the upcoming National Dialogue Conference.
