A Comprehensive Call for Ethiopians and the Ethiopian Diaspora in North America
August 18, 2025
The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has successfully completed the collection of agenda items from representatives of 11 regional states, two city administrations, and federal stakeholders and different societies through extensive public forums.
To further strengthen inclusivity and ensure that the dialogue process reflects the voices of all Ethiopians, the Commission warmly invites Ethiopians and members of the Ethiopian diaspora residing abroad to actively participate and contribute their perspectives.
In recent months, the Commission has engaged in continuous discussions with diaspora communities through various networks, gathering valuable ideas and proposals for the national dialogue. To expand these efforts and foster meaningful engagement, the Commission now finds it essential to bring together diverse diaspora representatives in person from countries with significant Ethiopian presence. This forum will serve as a platform to identify foundational agenda items through constructive dialogue on national issues.
Accordingly, the Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission will convene a public forum aimed at collecting agenda items from the Ethiopian diaspora living in North America on Saturday, August 30, 2025.
We respectfully call upon all individuals, groups, and organizations to identify fundamental national issues as items that address the core challenges facing our nation prior to the forum.
